Best Nonfiction Book 5

When I finished the first draft of a novel I wrote recently, I knew almost nothing about marketing. I wrote for advertising agencies, but I didn’t actually do any marketing myself. However, I knew that if I ever wanted to be successful, I’d have to learn. So I decided to check out a few books from the library on the subject.

And I quickly realized that marketing my book may be one of the hardest things I ever have to do. And even after all that work, it could fail utterly.

But I did it anyway.

And in a few months, I was practically an expert.

I never want to have to do that much work all at once again. But at the time, it was fun. It was exciting. I was doing something I’d always wanted to do.

So. My happiness tip of the day: make an unreasonable goal for yourself. Then decide on your first steps and take them.

The effort is almost always worth it, and you may even find some fulfillment along the way.
