“Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.” –Mark Twain

Do you try to “always do right”? Or do you think it’s better in the long run to fudge the moral lines a bit? I’d love to hear your comments.

  1. Dear Mollie,

My husband teases me that I always try to do the “right thing.” But I once had a friend who was brutally honest, and I do not believe that this is a good thing. You don’t tell a friend her blouse looks terrible, if she asks. You tell her it is a nice blouse. And that is a white lie.

    Most cordially, Celia

  2. Doing the right thing always makes me feel good – about myself and others. When I “fudge” a little or make excuses my attitude goes downhill. And I know it’s time to make something right!
