Yesterday afternoon, I was feeling overwhelmed. But I didn’t give into my feelings; instead, even though it was 3:00 in the afternoon, I decided to take a bath.

It was nice. But getting out of the bath was even better.

After getting out of the bath, I usually rub coconut oil on my skin. The other day, though, I decided to buy regular, scented lotion, kind of as a treat. I don’t know if it works as well but, unlike the coconut oil, it rubs in all the way and feels better.

And, of course, it smells a lot better, too.

The lotion cost $15, but I’m glad I bought it.

It was the very best moment of my day.

  1. Some overwhelming experiences are better than others.

Me? I like being overwhelmed by hot water in a bath tub.

I’ve never tried rubbing my aging skin with coconut oil. It might be better for me to use the ancient can of automobile grease I have in the basement. I’m very rusty, you see.

Being slicker ought to matter to me. Especially while I’m being patted down by a security agent at the airport.
